Since 2017, the Town of Whiteland has awarded one time scholarships to 2 graduating Whiteland Community High School seniors that demonstrate their commitment and dedication to the Whiteland community.

Applications must be submitted to the Town of Whiteland, 549 E. Main St., Whiteland, IN 46184 or emailed to apetrow@whiteland.in.gov by Friday, March 22, 2024.

2024 Otto Lewis Memorial Scholarship Application

The Whiteland Marketplace has become a destination in Whiteland offering a variety of shops and businesses next to Whiteland Town Hall. Each business brings their own unique flare to the marketplace and opportunities for residents and visitors to stop to shop.

  • Welch’s Holiday Farm – offering fresh eggs, meat, in season produce, home décor, antiques and more. Open May – August.
  • Sweet Spot Bakery – offering a variety of baked goods to satisfy any sweet tooth. Keep your eye out for Santa in the bakery during the holidays.
  • The primary use of Whiteland Farmers Market is to provide consumers a venue to purchase locally grown and produced foods, plants, art, and handcrafted items as well as a place for non-profit groups to educate and fundraise. Our vision is to provide a local marketplace for food-inspired growers, producers, and businesses that can prosper, while offering our community the experience of locally grown food and handcrafted items.
  • Whiteland Farmer’s Market will be on Tuesdays beginning June 4, 2024 through August 27, 2024. The hours of operation are 5:30pm-7:30pm. The Market will be held at the Johnson County Public Library – Clark Pleasant Branch at 350 Clearwater Blvd., Whiteland.
